Do not show up correctly, it appears the top background image is in effect stretched heightwise (vertically) for the entire block once it is moved to the center. Will do some more testing, but the blocks on left and right sides do not appear this way.

is it possible posting the code here..?
or perhaps the theme you are using has an issue with center blocks... SilkSilver was it?
